Description
TETANOSTOP ®
Tetanus is a serious disease caused by the exotoxin secreted by clostridium tetani. This bacillus penetrates the body via wounds. If the body is not protected by a previous vaccination, the produced toxins will then block the neurotransmitters and may even lead to death.
By using TETANOSTOP ®, it is possible to assess whether the anti-tetanus antibody level is sufficient and whether a person is still protected by vaccination.
When should the immunoassay be performed?
The test can be performed at any time either to establish whether or not a vaccination should be repeated or to allow for immediate and adequate treatment after wounding in the case of negative result.
Why should self-screening be performed?
- Test can be performed comfortably at any time at home, away from hospitals or medical centres
- Easy test result reading
- Permanent monitoring of your health condition
- Please check our video for advice on how to use the test or read the results – VIDEO
- Regular screening of vaccination protection and/or efficiency avoids any serious potential risk from contaminated wounds.
