MALARI’ALERT®
MALARI’ALERT® is a rapid and specific immunoassay that can detect the presence of the plasmodium falciparum parasite.
The plasmodium falciparum parasite may be present in tropical and subtropical anopheles female mosquitos and can infect humans following an insect bite. The plasmodium falciparum parasite is responsible for malaria with associated symptoms such as a sudden, high fever and other serious nervous disorders. Without appropriate treatment, the disease can cause death.
The parasite screening takes just 15 minutes with only one drop of blood.
When should the immunoassay be performed?
The test is indicated in the case of symptoms such as fever with intense shivering or significant transpiration, asthenia or headache.
