M-Albu-Check-1 ®
M-Albu-Check-1 ® is a specific rapid immunoassay for human albumin in urine. Albumin, when present in urine, indicates renal dysfunction. Elevated levels of Glucose or triglyceride (fats), diabetes history, and high blood pressure, are all involved in stimulating albumin excretion in urine. The test detects albumin in just 5 minutes.
When should the immunoassay be performed?
The albumin level in urine is generally higher in early morning urine. That is why it is recommended to use an early morning sample to obtain better results. Nevertheless, the test can be performed with a urine sample obtained at any moment.
