Rapid immunoassay for the detection of iron deficiency

What is it?

Iron-Check is a specific rapid immunoassay for ferritin detection. Ferritin is the iron storage protein. A positive result indicates a blood level lower than 20 ng/mL and therefore possible iron deficiency. The ferritin level is assessed within 10 minutes with only one blood drop.

When should the immunoassay be performed?

The test can be performed at any time when one or several of these signs are present: Pallor, Tiredness, Persistent fatigue sensation, Headaches, Breathlessness on effort, Pregnancy periods, or in a case of excessive menstruations.
