GLUTEN’ALARM ®

Self testing device for the detection of anti-tissue transglutaminase IgA antibodies associated with Gluten intolerance (celiac disease) in the blood

What is it?

Celiac disease is a long-term autoimmune disorder affecting the small intestine that can occur in genetically predisposed people. It is caused by intolerance to the ingestion of gluten which is found in wheat, barley and rye. It is estimated to affect 1% of the worldwide population with severe effects on health. GLUTEN’ALARM ® is an innovative rapid test for the detection in the blood of anti-tissue transglutaminase IgA antibodies associated with Gluten intolerance and, therefore, celiac disease. A positive result indicates that the sample contains anti-t-TG IgA type antibodies. The test can be performed in 15 minutes using only one drop of blood from a finger prick.
